What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
Christmas and Winter!

Where did this photo shoot take place?
This was taken at my home on Buffalo Creek in Nebraska.

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
No, I had the idea and got everything together for the shoot. I did collaborate with Diva’s Floral Shop for the headpiece and extra greenery for the skirt.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Canon Mark Diii 85mm L lens.

What time of day were these taken?
4pm

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
Added and removed noise for show fall and added a bit of “sun flare” to the creek.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
The greenery in the skirt! I’ve been wanting to do a session like this for ages, but with snow! The snow came and melted the week of this session, but it is what it is.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
Creativity. I want to capture what the senior wants and who they are. I will work with the senior to come up with a plan that is “them”. My style is very bold and bright.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Take everything with a grain of salt. Seniors are young and senior pictures are a huge time for them.
