The Seniorologie Directory is a listing of senior portrait photographers across the country.  The purpose of the directory is to provide seniors a place to find the perfect senior portrait photographer for their senior photos.  As a member of the Seniorologie Directory, photographers receive a blog post that gives them the opportunity to share a little about their business and themselves.

Today’s Seniorologie Directory Member Share is Craig of Craig Hewitt Photography in Chapin, South Carolina.  Check out his work and read all about him below.

How long have you been in business? Has been a part time job for eight years but full-time the last three.

What percentage of your business is a senior? 60% of my business is seniors.

What do you think makes a perfect senior session? Making sure the senior feels comfortable in front of the camera and enjoys the process of being photographed. If you accomplish that everything else will fall into place.

What do you love most about photographing seniors? I really enjoy getting to know my senior client on a personal level. Aside from being their photographer, I enjoy being their “3rd parent/friend”.

What would you say is the biggest challenge in your business? Biggest challenge would be not letting my workload over take my personal life.  These two worlds can be hard to juggle if you are not careful.

Describe your photography style? My photography style is clean and modern.

What motivates or inspires you in your photography? I find most of my inspiration from trends in fashion magazines, tv commercials and clothing stores in the mall.
