Today’s Ballet and Rock session is from Bethany Garvey of bCaptured Photography in Avondale, Arizona.  She said she was excited to here about our Seniorologie Concept Challenge and excited to get out and shoot this concept!

Here is a little more about this session from Bethany, “Shooting in AZ, I’ve had to learn to use the sun in what I think is a unique way.  We have tons of sun here pretty much all the time, there is very little green here and trees are sparse.  So, I find I’m most in my happy place when I can capture images that are full of sunlight!!  The day of this shoot was no different but it ended up being very windy. I almost rescheduled but then I realized that dance is all about movement!!  So I tried to shoot my images in a way that captured my fav light, the movement of the wind, and the beauty of a rockin’ ballet dancer!  I intentionally selected a rugged location because I wanted to play with the softness of a dancer and the harshness of the abandoned building and the desert.  I’m in love with the way this shoot turned out!”
