Episode #12 – Will You Go To Prom With Me?

Today’s podcast episode is all about a major event in a senior’s life…PROM!!  What does prom have to do with Senior Photography?  Take a listen or read below to find out!

In Episode #12 of The Seniorologie Podcast, I share with you what I have done (and what you can do too) to promote and market my business during one of the biggest events in a senior’s life…prom!

The Seniorologie Podcast is a weekly podcast hosted by Leslie Kerrigan, creator of Seniorologie, for high school senior photographers.  Whether you are just starting out or you have been photographing seniors for a while, The Seniorologie Podcast is your resource for all things senior photography related.

Highlights from Episode 10:

• Post on Social Media – Are you only posting photos from senior photo shoots on your social media?  If so, you are missing out on other ways to post and interact with your clients and potential clients!  Post about prom, ask your seniors what they are most excited about and interact with them about an event that they are super excited about!
• Promote Other Businesses – If you use a hair and makeup artist for your regular senior sessions, prom is a perfect time to promote that artist and help them!  I believe in forming an amazing relationship with my vendors and part of that is to help them out when I can!  Promoting my hair and makeup artist and even going as far as booking appointments for my clients or models with my artist is one way I can help out a fellow boss babe!!  Work together to promote each other during prom!!  Plan out how you can help each other and create posts that do just that!
• Take Photos! – You might be thinking, duh!  But there are several ways that we can take prom photos that help our businesses even after prom season is over!!  Whether you offer mini prom sessions or friend group sessions, by physically getting in front of potential clients ( aka all the other friends that see you taking photos of people) you are promoting your business!!
