The Seniorologie Directory is a listing of senior portrait photographers across the country.  The purpose of the directory is to provide seniors a place to find the perfect senior portrait photographer for their senior photos.  As a member of the Seniorologie Directory, photographers receive a blog post that gives them the opportunity to share a little about their business and themselves.

How long have you been in business? Since 2008

What percentage of your business is a senior? 50%, but I really want to be at 100%

What do you think makes a perfect senior session?  Shooting a dancer in a dusty building/barn

What do you love most about photographing seniors?  They’re so beautiful (even the guys) and they’re usually up for anything.

What would you say is the biggest challenge in your business? Pricing

Describe your photography style? fashion based, bright, crisp and fun

What motivates or inspires you in your photography? creating art….it’s in my soul

Where are you from/live?  From Houston…currently live in San Antonio (but REALLY want to move to FL)

Married?  Yep!  just went over 7 years with my bear

Kids?  I’ve got 2 little monster boys that I call Thing 1 and Thing 2.  They are my little muses.

What are their ages?  Blake is 5 and Brett is 3.

Nikon or Cannon?  Canon, of course. 

What kind of camera bag do you carry?  Tamrac backpack.  It’s super durable and carries all my stuff.  I think it was $100 at BestBuy.

Favorite music to edit to?  I actually have an editing playlist filled with Indie music, but I do love Pandora set to my Mumford and Sons station.

Favorite Photoshop Action?  Absolutely it’s the “Baby Powder Room 2” action from the coffeeshop blog.  LOVE it!!!

A photographer that inspires you?  I have many, but the ones mostly that create ethereal images and images that are super crisp or creative. 

Favorite Food?  nectarine

Favorite place to shop?  Ann Taylor Loft (I’m really little)

Favorite drink at Starbucks?  Pumpkin Spice Latte….OR Vanilla …OR Caramel….all of them?  Not Chai!!!!  I thought I was having a heart attack after drinking one of those.  Eeeek.

Favorite Guilty Pleasure?  Perfumes/body lotions (I’m totally addicted to smelling nice) AND….Scandal.  LOVE that show….ANTM, Project Runway, any type of fashion or dance shows.  No wonder I don’t get work done.

Favorite memory from when you were a senior?  That I was graduating.

Favorite Quote or Saying?  If you don’t have pictures, then all you have are memories. (That’s my own slogan)

Favorite Workshop or photography event you have attended?  Online workshop with Andee Tate.

Favorite Magazine?  Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, Teen Vogue (what?  I’ve got to know what’s up with the kids, ya know).  hehe

Favorite Vacation Spot?  A beach anywhere on earth….maybe not Iraq, but anywhere else.

Favorite Movie?  I don’t really have one….anything that makes me laugh.

Extra thing about me?  I am a huge joker!  I get into lots of trouble for my jokes, but my absolute favorite compliment someone can give to me is “you’re funny”.  Oh, and I’m a girl.  🙂
