A Senior with a very unique style makes this senior photo session lots of fun!  Amy Martell of A&M Photography says this senior Owns her style and rocked it during this photo session!!  Amy says that she started out unsure of herself and didn’t consider herself photogenic, but by the end of the session she was completely comfortable in front of the camera!  That sounds like an extremely success photo shoot!!  All girls want to feel beautiful and being able to give this senior that confidence shows that Amy did her job as the photographer!  Way to go Amy!!
Check out what Amy had to say about this shoot below and be sure to check out Amy’s other work here.  Thanks for sharing Amy!!
What was your inspiration for the photo shoot? Mira herself, was inspiration enough! She was spunky, and full of life! She had a great attitude and of course, great style. We simply walked around looking for perfect surroundings for each shot!
Where did this photo shoot take place?  Prescott, Arizona
Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot? I always give me seniors a few tips when prepping for their shoot, but ultimately I want them to look like themselves- and wear what they feel good in!
What camera, lens and equipment were used for this shoot?  Canon Mark II, 50mm 1.4, 100mm Macro 2.8 & 28-135mm
What time of day were these taken?  About 1-2 hours before sunset!
Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?  I like bringing out deeper rich tones to my photos, without over-doing the contrast. I also make sure their skin & hair remain normal looking, and avoid over-ly trendy actions so these photos remain timeless.
What is your favorite thing about this session? the colors! I could hardly make myself put any in b&w (which normally I love) But everything seemed to go so well together, the light, her clothes and the area, it was perfect!
What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style? I am all about being relaxed and having fun! I want seniors to express themselves, and I want to show everyone each person’s style and beauty in their own way.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors? Each one is different, no two sessions can be taken the same way. Poses have to change based on the person, backgrounds & settings have to show their style just as much as the clothing they wear. Not every senior is going to look like they walked out of Teen Vogue, and you should embrace that! Show them and their personalities at this wonderful stage in their life, and get to know them!
