Senior Spokesmodels sometimes get a big model shoot, but what do they want when it comes time for their individual senior photo shoot?  For this senior, Aubrey Jones of Aubrey Marie Photography said she wanted something different for this shoot.

“Sydney’s spokesmodel shoot was a bit more glamorous and urban, so she wanted to go in the opposite direction for her official senior portrait session,” said Aubrey.  “Something a bit more soft and rustic.”

Check out what else Aubrey had to say about this beautiful shoot below!  Thanks for sharing your work with Seniorologie Aubrey!

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
Sydney wanted her session to be more soft and rustic. She loved the charm of downtown Guthrie and chose to wear soft colors to compliment that.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
Guthrie, Oklahoma

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
Yes, I send my seniors a Q&A to tell me more about their style and personality. Then I suggest a location that fits them and their vision.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
I shot with a canon 5d mark iii and 50mm

What time of day were these taken?
In the evening a couple hours before sunset.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
Obviously I love the setting and Sydney’s outfits, but my favorite thing is actually how comfy Sydney is in front of the camera. She just exudes confidence.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
Well I definitely want Sydney to be conveyed as a beautiful, classy young woman. For myself, I think this session really shows my style as beautiful yet natural. I like when seniors come to me because they want to feel pretty, but they want to look like themselves.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
If anything, really talk and build a relationship with your seniors. When they trust you, their comfort translates into their pictures.
