I love sessions that show off a senior’s prom dress!  What a great outfit to incorporate into a senior session.  Not only does it serve as a dressy outfit but it also gives parents and the senior another way to utilize and capture the dress!!

“Bailey’s amazing prom dress really popped against the pink camper, bright pink chair and random circus items,” said Blair of Blair Ramon Photography.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
My favorite thing about this session (behind the scenes) was #1 it was a family affair. Bailey’s sisters, mom, and even cousin came along and helped carry the chair. #2 Bailey is so stinkin’ gorgeous inside and outside. Her personality and her outfits especially her PROM dress made this session stand out!

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I think this session convey’s Bailey’s fun side. She was kind of quiet, reserved, and laid back but once we got warmed up she was giggling and making funny faces towards the end of the session. AND even was throwing out her own ideas. Bailey is a small town, super sweet girl!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
You have to make the senior comfortable enough to get their true personality to show through. So one thing I do at the beginning to get the jitters out, while I am posing if I notice the client gets tense or awkward, I generally get them in a pose and I start joking with them and saying things like “work it girl”, “that’s it”, “turn the fan on I need some hair blowing”, and other obnoxious photographer sayings and I generally will get a real laugh. You have to make the session FUN
