Today’s Inspirational Session is from Crystal Abadie of Crystal Abadie Photography in Lafayette, Louisiana.  Crystal says that she wanted to push herself and try something a little different with this session so she decided to this session as a styled shoot just for her.

Check out the session below and read what else Crystal had to say about this school girl session.  Thanks for sharing Crystal.

What was your inspiration for the photo shoot?  My inspiration for this styled shoot was to do something fun that incorporated the school girl look.
Was this styled shoot something for yourself or did this senior use this as her senior photo session? The styled shoot was for myself.  I wanted to stretch my creativity!
Where did this photo shoot take place? The photo shoot took place in River Ranch in Lafayette, La.
Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot? Yes, I collaborated with the senior for her clothing options.  I had the concept/idea in mind and we cordinated together what was the best outfits for the look I wanted.
What camera, lens and equipment were used for this shoot? I used my Mark 5d II, 50mm f/1.2 lens.

What time of day were these taken? I took the photos in the afternoon, the best time to take portraits.
Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session? I use Lightroom and Photoshop to edit all of my sessions.  A process I recently learned is how to give the eyes a subtle pop by using an action from coffee shop blog.
What is your favorite thing about this session? My favorite thing about this styled shoot is the uniqueness.  I was going for something different.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style? I try to make my seniors feel like they are a super model for the day.  I love giving them the opportunity to look and feel their best, and then I capture that.  Most of all, I love giving them images that they will treasure for a lifetime.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors? I would recommend making the session a ton of fun.  You want the senior to leave with a smile on their face from laughing so hard.  I want to give my seniors amazing images, but also want them to remember how much fun the session was.
