Senior photographer, Carissa Davis of Imagery by Carissa said, “While at Conference 12 this past October I had so many lightbulb moments and I couldn’t WAIT to put them into place! I was able to finally decide on new branding (insert Flamingos!), how to implement Senior Reps, and how to focus on things that make me happy! So when I finally decided on all the above- I decided to do my FIRST Senior Rep shoot to celebrate it all and it couldn’t have been more fun!”

Check out this super fun senior rep shoot below and read what else Carissa had to say about it!  Thanks for sharing your work with Senirologie Carissa!

dream-team-1dream-team-6dream-team-7What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
You know that little ole song  ” These are a few of my Fa-Vorite things!” Well here is a shoot about it! For my first ever SENIOR REP sessions- my DREAM TEAM. I included all things that I love and made sure it corresponding to my new BRAND!

So what makes me happy? PJ’s! All day every day! Puppies ( I mean who can resist) ! Popcorn, candy, sunsets and girl time! These are seriously my favs! Only thing missing was OREOS- but frankly I am so stingy with my double stuffs- I didn’t want to share!

And hidden amongst it all were slight peeks of….. well FLAMINGOS of course!

Where did this photo shoot take place?
I live in a developing neighborhood where just one block away is any ever changing field full of mesquite trees, wild fola and magical sunsets! It just made sense that we held our Pajama party there!

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Canon Mark iii, Canon 24-70mm, Canon 85mm

What time of day were these taken?
Golden Hour!

dream-team-3dream-team-8dream-team-4Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
One of my dearest friends that I met at Conference 12 continues to encourage and support me. While I always feel like I am way overthinking post-processing she encouraged me to  just use Lightroom which was out of my comfort zone because I have always been a strong PS user- but this time I listened to her advice- and I am loving the outcome!

What is your favorite thing about this session?
Well everything of course! The laughs we shared, the theme we created, the energy that pours over each image. Just everything!

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I have ventured into a more light airy look with pops of color. I feel like it compliments my new brand but also my personality. LOL yes your read that right. I just called myself a little airy.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Just have fun! Sometimes I will overthink it but I have learned to just go into it with confidence and just be yourself!
