Staying true to the senior you are photographing and showing off their unique personality and style is the perfect way to capture each client’s senior photos.  In the photo session below, by Jen Sinclair of Jen Sinclair Photography in Glen Allen, Virginia, she captures both this seniors usual style as well as her more girly side.

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
I wanted to stay true to who Lindsay is on a day-to-day basis, but also show her fancier side.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
Ashland, VA

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
Yes! I give my seniors plenty of direction and inspiration to help them achieve the looks that they’re after.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
This was shot with a Canon 85 f1.8 on a 5D Mark II with a round silver reflector.

What time of day were these taken?
4:30-7 PM

What is your favorite thing about this session?
I love Lindsay’s eyes!

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I want this session to convey that, even though Lindsay doesn’t show it every day (which is fine), she’s a total stunner!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Be silly without being ridiculous! It helps the seniors connect with you and not see you as just another adult, and it helps them relax and open up!
