Being from the south, I totally get the draw to the beautiful white cotton fields when they are in bloom. So when I saw this session submitted by Kayla Cobb of KC Photography in Alabama I was immediately taken back to driving through the country and passing all those fields of white!
Check out this beautiful session below and read what Kayla had to say about it. Thank you for sharing your work with Seniorologie!

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
I originally thought of this as a Christmas shoot, with Courtney’s beautiful red gown against the white cotton, but now I absolutely love the vivid color contrast and could look at these images all year long.
Where did this photo shoot take place?
In a cotton field near Fyffe, Alabama
What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Canon 5D MK II
Canon 135mm f2
Sigma 35mm f1.4
What time of day were these taken?
Golden hour
What is your favorite thing about this session?
Courtney did an amazing job capturing the essence of what I wanted this shoot to convey. I wanted an elegant, almost fairy-tale like charm and she completely brought that energy for me.
What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I’m always drawn to dreamy, romantic themes and love being able to use wardrobe and beautiful natural light to showcase that kind of look.
What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
It is so, so important to take time and shoot for you and only you! I got inspired to do this session and it broke me out of the monotony of client sessions. Every time I got burnt out editing, I would open a couple images from this session and just let my mind wander and see what sort of fun, new edits I could come up with.
