Getting referrals from your reps is such a great feeling.  Not only do you get to meet their friends and photograph them, but you know that they are doing their job!

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
Karlee had amazing ideas for her session so all I had to do was incorporate her ideas into the styling as well as pick out fun locations. I had so much fun with all of the amazing outfits & props she brought. Her formal dress was to die for!!!!

Where did this photo shoot take place?
In downtown Fayetteville as well as my own backyard!

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
We worked pretty closely together to style her session and she brought a lot of amazing ideas! She knew that she wanted to wear tulle in a body of water so we decided to shoot part of her session in the creek behind my house. We shot in a few different parts of the creek and then her mom suggested that she climb up on the log and that quickly became one of our favorite shots!

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Canon 5d Mk3, 85mm f/1.2L, 35mm f/1.4L and a reflector

What time of day were these taken?
Before sunset (golden hour)

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
I tend to keep the editing pretty simple! Just curves, Portraiture, and levels to make it pop a bit!

What is your favorite thing about this session?
Her amazing sense of style! I gasped when she pulled out that amazing silver formal dress!!

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
My style is feminine, romantic, but modern! I think Karlee represents those aspects of my style really well!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Keep it simple! Seniors don’t need over-the-top styling or makeup, they just need to look like themselves! You definitely want your seniors to look back at their images 10 years from now and still love them just as much as they right now!
