Looking like a model can be expensive.  But done the right way, you can help your senior clients stay in their budget while looking and feeling like a model in their senior sessions.

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
I saw a look on @thebudgebabe’s blog that I thought was gorgeous and perfect for one of my clients.  I wanted to see if we could recreate the look for less.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
In a parking garage 🙂

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
Yes, I sent her the image from The Budget Babe’s Blog.  She went shopping and sent me pics of items she found 🙂

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
I shot this session with a Canon 5d Mark iii and a Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art Lens

What time of day were these taken?
Mid Day

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
I did very little post processing.  A little sharpen, portraiture run very lightly and a few b&w edits.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
I was thrilled with how perfect the outfit was and it looked so much like our inspiration, and that my senior loved it so much she couldn’t wait to wear it again 🙂

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I loved that we conveyed her sense of style which she describes as comfy but stylish; and that she created the look for around $50!!!!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Get to know your seniors, their likes, their interests, etc… before the session.  Work with them to create a session that is all about them 🙂
