Do you photograph your senior reps individually or as a large group?  There are so many ways to do Senior Spokesmodel Programs and finding what works for you is key to having success.

I love showcasing Senior Spokesmodel Shoots on the blog!  Some come in the form of individual senior sessions that they have earned by spreading the word about a photographer’s company and some are in the form of individual sessions taken to give the spokesmodel the materials needed to spread the word about that company. Either way, these sessions are inspirational and we can all learn from what is shared from these submitted sessions.

The session below is by Olivia of Olivia Renee Photography in Oregon.  Olivia says that she did preview mini shoots with all of her models to get them images right away to help them promote her business.  Olivia also does a Spring Editorial Shoot for all her models but this gave her the chance to get the models images immediately and gave them something to share with their friends while they waited on the next shoot!

Check out this beautiful session below of one of the spokesmodels and read what else Olivia had to share about this shoot!  Thanks for sharing your work with us Olivia!

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
This year I decided to do ‘preview’ mini shoots with all of my 2015 Senior Spokesmodels to get images of them right away! Considering that I choose my spokesmodels in January and we live in Portland, I was pretty sure this idea was going to be a disaster…but by some miracle all three days we shot were SUNNY, clear blue skies, and not even that cold (for Oregon :P)! It was so much fun and gave my girls a chance to hang out and get to know each other before we do our annual Spring Editorial shoot!

Where did this photo shoot take place?
We shot this in a field in Portland, OR.

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
Mai Anh styled herself, but I recommended ‘pop’ colors since basically every background in the winter nature wise is beige. 😛

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Nikon d800, 85mm 1.4
What time of day were these taken?
Late Afternoon

What is your favorite thing about this session?
SUN. IN. JANUARY. (Can you tell that this never ever ever ever happens?? :P)

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I wanted to get some great shots of my Spokesmodels so that they could show them off to all of their friends before I start booking summer sessions. I think these shots show Mai Anh’s silly, smiley personality, but also a little bit of that model side!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Have fun! Genuine smiles and laughter are easy to come by if you’re just goofing around out there. 🙂
