What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
The Elements of Earth. I did not want this shoot to be too literal.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
This shoot took place at a beautiful location called “Slingluff Farms”. It had everything we needed all in one place, right down to the cottage we got ready in.

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
Not this time. This was all about me being able to be do a concept shoot that I had been wanting to do for sometime.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
I shoot with Nikon D300. My glass was Nikkor 17-55mm 2.8 and my fixed Nikkor 35mm 1.8. I used my reflector and lots of natural light.

What time of day were these taken?
All afternoon. From about 2:30-7:00

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
I shoot in raw and try to get the image as perfect in camera. I use lightroom for color enhancement and contrast. Photoshop for spot edits.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
I LOVED everything about this shoot. I had a blast working with my girls. I loved being able to shoot at such an amazing location and being able to really get creative.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
My creativity and talent more then anything.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
