We just had our first of four Live webinars all about rep programs with the Seniorologie Rep Program Boot Camp Online Course and I thought it would be the perfect time to showcase the below Rep Shoot Inspiration!

Now is the time to start planning your rep shoot, figuring out your concept or theme and how you will style the session.  Doing some research, looking for inspiration and brainstorming will help you figure out what you will do for your senior models of 2015!

Madison of Madison Cary in Texas used a Neon concept for her 2014 Senior Model Shoot and let the models pull together their own look.  She said, “It was so fun to see what each of the girls came up with!”  I love that they all had their own ideas and were able to showcase their style personalities through neon!

Check out this session below and be sure to check out more of Madison’s work here.  Thanks for sharing Madison!!

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
my awesome makeup artist actually thought of doing something out at the sandhills while in the middle of the starbucks drive-thru. haha! from there, we took the neon fashion trend and came up with “neon summer!”

Where did this photo shoot take place?
monahans sandhills in monahans, tx. about an hour outside of midland.

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
each senior pulled their own outfit together! i told them “the more neon the better” and created an inspirational pinboard on pinterest, and the rest was all up to them! it was so much fun seeing what each girl ended up choosing as their outfit.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
canon 5d mark iii, 50mm1.2, 35mm 1.4

What time of day were these taken?
early evening

What is your favorite thing about this session?
i loved letting my hair + makeup girls go all out with each girl’s individual style. one of them chimed in saying she felt like a creative director! haha. with normal senior sessions, we don’t get to play with the crazy + fun color palette often, so i let them really take charge for each girl’s look.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
each session is like you are on a fashion shoot for a day. my style is fun, simple + clean, all focusing on each senior and their unique personality + style.  with this model session being crazy and over-the-top, i loved that the girls got to know one another better, and feel fashionable, edgy and fun.  here’s to the 2014 seniors!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
HAVE FUN! and don’t be afraid to be goofy. i think i might be THE walking billboard for nervous-goofyness, but hey, it works because it helps them relax, and you get great natural smiles!  i am now considering bringing music on-location, so we can have spontaneous dance parties! um…yes!
