What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
This shoot was inspired by the show Downton Abbey. I wanted the regal charm and lusciousness of the era to exude from each image!

Where did this photo shoot take place?
Semple Mansion in downtown Minneapolis, MN.

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
No- I come up with the concept and collaborated with my vendor partners for the perfect looks!  www.CostumeRentals.org,www.lavenirdesign.com, and my amazing makeup/hair team!!

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Nikon D800e, 85mm 1.4, 70-200mm 2.8, Alienbees with various modifiers

What time of day were these taken?
Evening

What is your favorite thing about this session?
I loved the glamour and storytelling and the amazing expressions/truthfulness my 2015 senior models brought to the images!! They were so excited and gorgeous and invested in this shoot and have created amazing buzz for my business!

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
This session was designed to go above and beyond any experience my senior models could have anywhere else! I wanted it to appeal to my creative seniors and encourage them to think outside the box. It was a perfect mix of glam and artistic styling for my senior studio style and I couldn’t be more excited with how the images turned out!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Create real connections!! The best sessions are the ones where both you and the senior are invested in the images.  Get to know them and their parents on a personal level and your sessions will rock!
