On each of my senior shoots, I always suggest that clients bring a casual outfit.  I think most of us dressy casually on a daily basis so by incorporating something casual into a senior session it really showcases the senior and what they typically wear.

Jean shorts are an item that is the perfect item for a senior session. Whether they are regular denim, chambray, black or white, jean shorts work great for all types of styles.

If your client is boho, pair jean shorts with a kimono or a fun flowy top.  If your client is a little more preppy, then pair a white pair of jean shorts with a bright printed top and colorful wedges.  No matter what their style, jean shorts will work!
