Here is a little secret…I have a photography crush on Angie Monson of Simplicity Photography!  When I first began in photography, Angie was one of the first photographers I fell in love with and was completely inspired by.  I have continued to follow her and she never disappoints!  From her amazing family sessions, beautiful brides and spectacular seniors, Angie is a true artist.  And the best part is she is such a cool chic!  I kind of just want to hang out with her! (Angie, can we make that happen?) 🙂

When I saw that she was doing a senior video, I had to let all of my readers know!!  I hadn’t seen the video but knew that if she did one it would be great!  So I contacted her to see if I could share it on the blog to let all of our readers know about it and she went one step further and let me review the video!

And my suspicions were true…it is as amazing as she is!

I am a visual person (as I am sure many of you are) so being able to see a photographer go step by step through the process of what she does with her senior clients is a great educational tool.  This video does exactly that!

Angie takes viewers through hair and makeup with her thoughts on why pro is the way to go, as well as her makeup artist’s thoughts on it too.  She shares how she helps seniors choose the perfect clothes from what they bring and shows viewers the locations she uses and why she chose those locations.

Angie shares what lenses she uses and you get to see her set up shots and see the finished shot with the settings.  I loved watching her pose naturally.  No over the top posing, just poses where her clients look beautiful and 17.

This video is good for anyone in the senior photography business.  Whether you have been shooting for a while or are just starting out, it is a great resource for photographers.

I’ve been shooting and teaching for a while but this video gave me a new energy to go out and shoot.  We can all get into a rut of doing the same thing because its comfortable, but by watching someone else that inspires you is a great way to get excited about trying some new things in your photography.
