With all this New Year talk, I thought I would run down the list of events, contests, etc going on with Seniorologie!!  Start the New Year off with the 411 on all things Seniorologie!!

I absolutely love meeting new photographers so any chance I get to see any of you in person, puts a smile on my face.  And there are lots of opportunities for that in 2013!  So check out the list of events below!

Seniorologie/Savvy Photographer Shoot Outs – Atlanta January 19 and 20

What is a shoot out?  A shoot out is a completely styled photo shoot that allows photographers to come, photograph and have fun!!  A shoot out gives each attendee the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge while interacting with real senior models and other photographers.  It is also the perfect opportunity to capture amazing images to refresh or create a senior portfolio without having to set anything up!  We take care of styling, getting the models, securing the location, gathering props, etc!  All you have to do is show up and shoot!  This is also a great opportunity to get hands-on learning from Seniorologie and the guest senior photographers we will have at the Shoot Out.  Posing, lighting and interacting with seniors will all be things that will be demonstrated during the shoots.

We have two opportunities in Atlanta for photo shoots.

January 19 – Outdoor Photo Shoot

This will be an outdoor shoot in downtown Atlanta (near the Imaging Conference Site).  The shoot will begin at 2 p.m. and last three hours.  This gives us ample time to shoot before sunsets.  We will break attendees up into small shooting groups and each group will be led by a photographer.  Each group will rotate to be given the chance to photograph each model/each set.  This shoot will take place outside.  Therefore, we can not control the weather.  We will shoot rain or shine! 🙂

The concepts for the outdoor shoot out are Urban Winter and Ice Skater.  The clothing will be styled perfectly and models will receive professional hair and makeup.

January 20 – Indoor Photo Shoot

This will be an indoor photo shoot at a studio in downtown Atlanta (near the Imaging Conference Site).  The shoot will begin at 2 p.m. and last three hours.  We will have two studio light sets and there will also be indoor natural light available.  We will break attendees into small shooting groups and each group will be led by a photographer.  Each group will rotate to be given the chance to photograph each model/set.

The concepts for the indoor shoot are Snow White and New Year’s Eve/Prom.  The clothing will be styled perfectly and models will receive professional hair and makeup.

Seniorologie Shoot Out Vegas – March 10

This Seniorologie Shoot Out will be our second annual shoot out in Vegas!  We are super excited to have the talented Brittney Kluse joining us to work with me on styling this shoot out!  The location is super cool and totally different than what we did last year.  The shoot out will be on Sunday, March 10 and will begin at 2 p.m.  We will be traveling to this location and travel is included in the price.  Therefore, we will leave earlier than 2 p.m. to make sure we are at our destination right on time to begin shooting at 2 p.m.

Just like the Atlanta shoot out, this will give attendees the opportunity to interact with seniors and gain hands-on learning.  You will also gain unbelievable photos for your portfolio!  How often do you get to shoot in Vegas??  That is the kind of stuff most people dream of shooting!  So join us!!

We will create the sets, secure the location, gather the props, get the models, style the clothes and all you have to do is show up and shoot!  It is so much fun!!

Seniorologie Class at WPPI – March 14

That’s right, Seniorologie will be teaching a class at WPPI and I am so excited about it!!  The class is on Thursday, March 14 at 9 a.m. and I would love for you all to join me!  I will be teaching Seniorologie – The Study of Senior Portrait Photography and the Steps to Creating YOUR Senior Portrait Business.  Come learn all there is to know about creating a senior portrait business that is right for YOU!!
