This week on Seniorologie we have touched on a theme…showing a seniors’ inner beauty. Monday’s post about a senior in Texas who started a movement in her high school to encourage girls to go one day without makeup started our week off on the right foot. And today we have a story about two photographers who are showcasing senior girls naturally on their new website, the Natural Beauty Project.

Melissa of Melissa Lynn Hunt Photography in Concord, North Carolina and Brittany of Brittany Lauren Photography in Charlotte, North Carolina have been friends since they attended their very first camera class. They have stayed friends, even long distance, when Brittany lived in NYC, and now that they are close together (only 30 minutes apart!), they have put their minds together to work on a very unique and inspiring project.

Both girls say that this project comes from a place of truth. They were each teased as teens and know how hard it is for girls to feel confident and beautiful. They want this website to showcase that all girls are beautiful and they want each girl’s inner and outer beauty to shine.

The Natural Beauty Project is an addition to Melissa and Brittany’s photography businesses and gives their clients another option for their senior photos. Both Melissa and Brittany offer full hair and makeup for their senior photo sessions but the Natural Beauty side is for those that want to showcase themselves naturally.

I met Brittany and Melissa when they each came to the Seniorologie Tour. It just so happens that they both won seats to the Atlanta Tour (Melissa) and the Dallas Tour (Brittany). I knew the moment I met them that they had huge hearts and big ideas! I am so happy for them and I wish them the best on this amazing venture!
