What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
My inspiration was a bohemian inspired with the dresses and headbands and earthy backgrounds. I wanted a very simple natural feel.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
This was out by the water in Sarasota which has some gorgeous greenery around it.

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
I gave the girls an idea of what I was looking for in this shoot and they definitely brought it!

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Nikon D600 and 85 1.4

What time of day were these taken?
between 4:30pm and 6:30pm

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
Most of these are simple clean edits (white balance and exposure) I do use portraiture at a lower opacity to help give a flawless look to the skin.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
How photogenic the seniors were! And how laid back they were and easy going with anything I asked them to try.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
My style is natural yet I want every girl to feel absolutely gorgeous in a non-enhanced way. And I think I portray that in my photos. I want seniors look at their own photos and go, “That’s me?!” and most of them do!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Just have fun and really talk to them! Have conversation as you are taking the photos and it will help them relax and really get into the session!
