Have you ever had a slight crush on one of your favorite photography duos?  You know, that feeling of oh-my-gosh-they-are-so-great-and-I-want-to-be-them-when-I-grow-up!  Well here is my secret…I have a crush on Justin and Mary Marantz!  These two photographers inspire me on a daily basis and really make me want to be the best I can be at what I do.  Whether you are a wedding photographer, senior photographer, family photographer or all of the above, these two can inspire you to do GREAT things in your business.  They have inspired me, taught me and been there for me throughout my photography journey.  Whether from a far (as in I stalked them forever before I said hi), via email or even in person (I literally squealed when I saw them at WPPI), these two have been a constant source of information for me.

Senior Photography is a genre that is different when it comes to the subjects you photograph but it is still photography, and finding inspiration and learning from photographers in other genres can be just as beneficial to your business as learning from those in the same genre as you.  Justin & Mary know their craft.  They know marketing and customer service and branding and more.  And they know LIGHTING.  Off camera flash, natural lighting and even a little on camera flash is something they know a lot about.  They are sharing this knowledge with photographers across the country with the J & M Lighting Intensive.  They have traveled to cities like Charlotte, North Carolina and Richmond, Virginia and now they are coming to Atlanta (which is in my neck of the woods)!  I couldn’t be more excited to have them in the south, teaching about what they love.  And as a senior photographer, I know that even though they shoot weddings, lighting is lighting, and I want to learn from the best!  What a great way to incorporate another aspect into my business than to learn all about lighting.  Having this extra knowledge of lighting will allow me to not only continue in my natural light sessions but it will allow me to add other lighting sources to my photography.  And it can allow you this same freedom too!
