Inspiration for photo shoots can come from many sources…pinterest, music, other blogs, fashion, the senior herself or in this case, the senior’s fashion sense and especially her nails!

Adan Serna of Adan Serna Photography says that this senior’s fashion and her beautiful bright blue nails provided inspiration for this shoot!  This just proves that every single detail of each senior’s photo shoot is important!

Check out this session below along with what Adan had to say about it!  And be sure to check out more of Adan’s work here.  Thanks for sharing!

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?  My inspiration for this shoot was to incorporate Charissa’s fashion style with natural surroundings, however mainly our inspiration for this shoot was Charissa’s nails. 😉
Where did this shoot take place? This photo shoot took place at a local golf course lake as well as my studio so I could do more off camera flash stuff for more variety.
Did you collaborate with your senior to come up with the look for this shoot? I always collaborate with my seniors, so yes!
What equipment was used for this photo shoot?  For my camera I used the Canon 7D. I used the 50mm f/1.4 for all of the outside shots and for the studio shots I used a 24-70mm f/2.8L.
What time of day was this shoot?  We started our session at 6pm (one hour before sunset) and finished around 8:30 and then we went to McDonalds. 🙂
Can you share any post processing tips when editing this shoot?  My processing is very simple. The majority of my processing is in Lightroom where I just brighten and warm the images. In Photoshop I remove all blemishes.
What is your favorite thing about this session?  My favorite thing about this session is THE LIGHT. We had the perfection location to catch that amazing golden light. I also loved Charissa’s nails.
What do you want this session to convey about your photography style?  I wanted this session to convey how much style and how beautiful Charissa is. I also wanted this session to really show off my hazy, backlit style.
What is one tip you can share with other senior photographers?  My one tip for other photographers is to make your seniors feel beautiful. If you can make them feel beautiful, they will look beautiful.
