There is something beautifully innocent about white lace in front of a lush green backdrop.  This senior model session below is the perfect example.

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
White lace, sweetness, light, and innocence. A slower pace of life — we live in a crowded metropolitan area where it can literally take 20 minutes to go 5 miles.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
We were fortunate to be able to shoot on the grounds at the historic Morven park in Leesburg. The tree that the girls are standing under lost that beautiful branch in a horrible thunderstorm shortly after out shoot.

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
The girls had basic guidelines, but then just ran with it. One girl made a baby’s breath wreath for her head which I thought was awesome.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
I’m a Canon girl! I always use my 5dmiii, and then my 24-105 f4, 70-200 2.8, 85 1.2 are my next most popular lenses. We used natural light and reflectors for this shoot. It was hot, cloudy, and humid, but sometimes the sun would burst through and throw a little more warmth on the scene.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
How the girls still managed to be so individual in their portraits and show their personalities, even though they were all wearing such similar outfits.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
Our senior models have tons of fun and get gorgeous pictures!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Seniors bring their own personality and look to the sessions. Do your best to capture that!! Their photographs should reflect them more than they reflect your vision of what senior pictures should look like. Work with their personalities, bring them out, make them feel confident and beautiful.
