Spokesmodels can be a great way to get your name out with your target market.  But not only can they themselves spread the word, you can help them spread the word by utilizing them in photo shoots that showcase what potential clients can do!

In this editorial shoot below by Horizon by Debra she says it helps her capture the possibilities of what clients could do in their own shoots.

“These editorials cast vision for my clients, so they can see the fun and creative ways they can have their senior portraits captured,” said Debra.

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
What could be more fun than riding a boat into the sunset with your best friends?

Nautical elements set the stage for a coastal themed shoot. This shoot is inspired by friendship, coastal breezes, and the gorgeous hues of water.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
Pone Inlet, Florida

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
I sent my Spokesmodels a vision board and they brought their wardrobe to fit with the concept. I also brought wardrobe as well so we could have fun playing dress up.

The best part is the custom jewelry from Marolsha (www.etsy.com/shop/Marolsha). A very special thanks to this boutique for allowing us to showcase their lovely line.

We had popcorn, fun candy, and vintage coke bottles for a coastal picnic.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Canon Mark III
50 MM 1.4
85 MM 1.2

What time of day were these taken?
6 pm – sunset

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
The VSCO preset is my favorite post-processing polish for my images.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
I love that these three Spokesmodels came together as strangers, connected, and had fun like they are long-time friends. Capturing their energy and excitement was definitely the highlight for me.

Okay, so, being on a boat was pretty fun too. 🙂

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I love capturing this exciting time of life, launching into life’s next adventure.

Horizon by Debra is lifestyle editorial. It is a custom, designer, experience tailored for seniors. These sessions are infused with individuality and personality.

This creates a gorgeous collection because it features wonderful you.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
I view my job as setting the stage and finding connection.

Searching for the best lighting, angles, and atmosphere allows for an optimal artistic outcome.

Then, connecting with the client’s interests and passions. This unlocks all of their beauty. My job is really caring about that person, and desiring the best outcome for them.
