What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
Allison really wanted to apply water and her love for cheering to her shoot, and two local colleges were a great solution. We were able to tie in the field she wanted along with a lake backdrop and football field. It was a perfect day!

Nikon D810 with Sigma 35mm 1.4 art and Nikon D750 with 85mm 1.4 Nikon lens

What time of day were these taken?
between the hours of 3 and 5pm

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
When shooting at sunset, directly into the sun, I underexpose the image and bring up the shadows/contrast in post-processing. This allows you to keep those details in the image!

What is your favorite thing about this session?
Allisons outfits were just on point! LOVE her style!

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
Senior sessions should be fun, relaxed and adaptable to each individual. I try not to create a concrete style, but to constantly be pushing my boundaries and making my seniors feel like they are unique!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Get to know them, understand them and by doing so you will find it much easier to photograph them while showing their unique personality! They look forward to this day for years, do everything you can to make it special!
