A beautiful senior session incorporates several things…the seniors style, personality and passion.  This session does all three!  Lori Waddell of Lori Waddell Photography was inspired by this seniors style of clothing and created her session to show off that style.  The senior also has been a dancer since she was three so making sure to showcase that talent was important for this session.

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?  My inspiration was definitely her style of clothing!

Where did this photo shoot take place?  Marietta Square in Marietta, GA

What equipment was used for this shoot?  Canon 5D Mark III, 85 mm 1.8, 35 mm 1.2

What time of day were these taken?  Between 4:30-7:30 p.m.

What is your favorite thing about this session?  There are just so many…the location, her clothing and she was such a natural in front of the camera.  We just had fun!

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or the concept for this shoot?  Absolutely!!  Planning a session with each senior is very important to me.  I learned her style and what interests her.  She has been a dancer since she was 3 and of course we incorporated a few dance shots at the end of her session.

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?  I keep my post processing very simple using Lightroom, then move into Photoshop for the finishing touches.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?  Capturing each senior as they are!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?  Communication!  All of my seniors receive a welcome guide that goes over everything about the session, from the planning to the delivery of products and all the important details in between!
