Typical sessions that are submitted to Seniorologie are submitted by one photographer running his or her own business.  But in this case, the submission below may have been submitted by one but there are actually three girls behind the cameras!!
Picsee Studio is made up of three photographers known as the Picsee chicks!  Becky, Jennifer and Christy run the studio together and having three instead of one must be tons of fun!  To find out more about how they run their business as a threesome, check out their interview in The Fort Magazine here.
Not only are there three photographers behind this business which makes this session unique, but this senior already owns her own business!  Talk about a senior with drive and determination!  This senior knows she wants to be a fashion designer and already owns her own boutique!!  Wow!  I didn’t even know what I wanted to do at that age!!  Using this and the senior’s personal style, Becky, Jennifer and Christy created a beautiful senior session.
Check out the session below and be sure to check out the work of Picsee Studio here.  Thanks for sharing!!
What was your inspiration for the photo shoot? Lindsay’s personal style totally rocked this shoot. She is a senior with great ambition to become a fashion designer and at the ripe age of 17 she already owns her own boutique called Mimi Lucille.
Where did this photo shoot take place? We love being able to see past dirt and dust and see awesomeness, so we chose an abandoned Industrial park that is near to our studio.
Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot? No, we totally trusted her to be able to pull from her boutique clothing line to match her personality.
What camera, lens and equipment were used for this shoot? We are Canon girls all the way! We shoot with Canon Mark 111 and use the 35mm 1.2 & 85mm 1.2 L glass.
What time of day were these taken? These were taken at the beginning of the year around 4pm.
Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session? Getting it right in camera is very important and with the buttery light we added touches from Totally Rad and Jesh de Rox action sets to create the final edit.
What is your favorite thing about this session? Her confidence was very appealing. She was very natural and comfortable in her own skin which doesnt usually come at such a young age.
What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style? Every girl deserves to have a session tailored to their individual style.
What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors? Posing and finding the subjects angle are key! Building the relationship between you and your subject is also extremely important,
so that they feel comfortable are are able to give genuine expression.
