Last week’s Seniorologie Spotlight of the Week was a beautiful image from Geni of Pink Owl Photography.  Below she shares the rest of that session and a little information about the session.  Check it out and be sure to check out more of Geni’s work here.  Thanks so much for sharing your work with us Geni!

Tell me a little about this senior and this photo shoot…I always get a bit giddy when one of my seniors also loves photography. Audrey has been taking black & white photography at school this year and knew exactly what kind of shoot she wanted for her senior pictures. We lucked out and had a perfect fall day, complete with gorgeous colors that gave us great contrast and worked perfectly with Audrey’s outfits!

Where did this shoot take place?  Audrey wanted a mix of urban & nature so we stared a few of my favorite places in downtown Louisville. A parking garage and an old loading dock. ( the older and dirtier the better 😉 then we headed to a local park that had the perfect amount of trees, water & path ways oh and a “golden hour” to die for!

What about the winning image stood out to you and made you submit it to Seniorologie?  I seem to always be drawn to images that display certain aspects of light, you could say i’m obsessed with light. My winning image stood out because I felt like it had the perfect hair light, combined with a back drop of fall colors mixed with a big fluffy scarf. Everything just came together.

What do you love most about Senior photography?  I have to choose just one!? 🙂  If I have to choose just one thing I love the most, it would be getting to know my seniors, they keep me young. I love showing them how beautiful they are and seeing their confidence boost when they get the first glimpse of their senior pictures.
