Individual Senior Rep Sessions allow you to get to know each of your reps and spend time with them. Ashley of Ashley Schmidt Photo + Design shot this beautiful fall session for one of her 2015 Reps.
“I knew immediately for Hannah that I wanted the session to be moody with a bohemian flare,” said Ashley. “The clothing and hair already screamed boho, the location set the perfect lighting for the dramatic light and dark variation I wanted conveyed in her images.”
Check out this beautiful session below and read what else Ashley had to say about it! Thanks for sharing your work with Seniorologie, Ashley!

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
I knew immediately for Hannah I wanted the session to be moody with a bohemian flare. The clothing and hair already screamed boho, the location set the perfect lighting for the dramatic light and dark variation I wanted conveyed in her images.
Where did this photo shoot take place?
Idaho Falls, Idaho, I found this dreamy location while on a bike ride with my family and couldn’t wait to take the perfect senior there!
Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
All my senior rep session clothing was provided by the fabulous online clothing store:
Aro & Company. Being able to allow my senior reps to wear these clothes immediately made them feel extra special. Looking at Hannah I knew she would be perfect for this outfit!
What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
This was shot with a Nikkor 50mm 1.8 on a Nikon D700 with a round silver reflector.

What time of day were these taken?
6:00-7:30
What is your favorite thing about this session?
I love when a vision comes to life the way you so clearly thought of it in your head.
What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I love creating images that make you wonder what was going on, or what someone was thinking or feeling. In my senior images I love freezing the joy in this monumental part of their life that these girls and their families will cherish for years to come. If you are looking at my images and can feel an emotion attached to it, I feel like I have accomplished something beautiful for that person.
What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Have fun! If you are nervous they will sense it. I love communicating with them during the session and finding out more about them.
If you are having fun, and are full of energy they will feel it and it will transfer through in their images.
