Tell me a little about this senior and this photo shoot…

Natalie is one of my 2013 senior reps.  We did her senior session this past summer and thought it would be fun to do a mini-shoot with the beautiful snow.

Where did this shoot take place?

The photo shoot took place along a walking trail by my house that I drive past frequently.  There are a lot of evergreen trees lined up along the trail that create such a perfect setting.  When it snows it looks absolutely magical!  

How did you come up with the styling for this session (ie the dress, etc)?

I was inspired by the snow and the scenery and wanted to do something that looked beautiful and magical.  Natalie wore her prom dress which worked out perfectly and I brought along a little fur shawl that I got for $5.  I didn’t plan on shooting her in anything else but when I saw the plaid shirt that she brought I couldn’t resist!  I loved all of the colors and loved that the red complimented her lipstick.  We were both freezing by then but I managed to get a few photos of her second look and I am so glad that I did!

What about the winning image stood out to you and made you submit it to Seniorologie?

I just loved everything about the image, from her dress to the snow and the trees.  I thought she looked like a real life princess!
