I am always so honored when someone asks me to speak at their events.  And I was so excited when Anna Liesemeyer of In Honor of Design asked me to share a little about photography at her workshop, The Brand Market Workshop.

This workshop was well put-together and was a place for creative minds to learn.  Anna created such a wonderful, open environment for the attendees and speakers and I was inspired by everyone there!

The workshop took place at my friend, Marsha Misfud, aka The Savvy Photographer’s studio in Atlanta.  It was the first time I saw the studio and it was amazing!  Marsha did such a great job decorating the space and it was the perfect place for Anna to host the workshop.

The attendees were from all different types of creative backgrounds.  There were lifestyle bloggers, artists, letterpress designers and more all eager to learn how to grow their businesses through social media, brand their businesses and more!

I enjoyed hearing the other speakers share about their experiences, how they got to where they are today and their tips to success.  It is always so fun to be around people that are creative and it really got my brain buzzing with new ideas and a new zest for this blog!

Anna, creator of this workshop and her blog In Honor of Design, shared her marketing wisdom, how to create a media kit and why its important for bloggers, and how to make the most of social media.

Mandy Rye of Waiting on Martha lifestyle blog shared her secrets to branding success, rules of ethics and how to make big strides in a short amount of time.

As the photography speaker, I had the pleasure of sharing tips on taking better photos, how important lighting is and how to style the photo to make sure it is appealing and makes people stop and look.  It was neat to go back to the beginning and remember why and how to take a good photo, explain the exposure triangle and more.  I also had the pleasure of taking each of the attendees head shot photos.

If you are a blogger or photographer, this is a wonderful workshop.  Anna really put such time into every detail and made this a fun day for everyone!  The next Brand Market Workshop will be held in March 2014.  To find out more, be sure to check out In Honor of Design.
