This week’s Seniorologie Spotlight Image is from Chelsea Atkins Photography.  Check out the image, as well as other images from the session, below and read a little about the session from Chelsea!

Tell me a little about this senior and this photo shoot….Alexcys is a 2014 Senior, she loves playing on the Varsity Soccer and Fast pitch team for her High School. She is hoping to attend College in Santa Barbara and study Massage Therapy. She is super sweet, has an amazing personality and is so beautiful! Alexcys wanted a little bit of urban and a country look, we had 4 different outfits that could not have gone better with the locations we chose. 

Where did this shoot take place?  This photo shoot took place in Vancouver, Washington in early November. We had a beautiful Pacific Northwest Fall day! 

What about the winning image stood out to you and made you submit it to Seniorologie?  Sooooo many little things. The winning image was one of those that the second I took it I knew it was special. We had the most amazing sunlight, her blue shirt was the perfect match to the fall colored background and that hat could not have looked better on her! Not to mention the expression on her face is beyond perfect. I knew I wanted to add a Matte Haze look to the photo and when I finished the edit, I sat and stared at the picture for a few minutes and totally fell in love and instantly had to enter it in the weekly contest! 

What do you love most about Senior Photography?  That is a hard question because I love everything about shooting my Senior Girls, but if I had to pick one reason I would have to say I love how beautiful the girls feel. Bringing out that confidence that every young girl should have is so rewarding for me. 

From Seniorologie…The beautiful image stood out because of the tones, lighting and colors in the image.  The senior’s connection to the camera draws the viewer in.  The senior’s skin tone is perfect and the use of the hat works well in this shot.  Adding an accessory such as a hat or scarf not only adds something to the senior’s style but also gives her something natural to do with her hand that works well in this image.  Great job Chelsea!
