What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
Erica really wanted to incorporate the bridge into her background. On our half mile walk to this bridge, we found some incredible stops along the way for some shots! She was a natural in front of the camera and made my job easy!

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
Erica had her own choices of clothing but once we got there, I went through the clothes she brought and we decided on which outfits would work best at each location.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
Nikon d7000, 50mm 1.4

What time of day were these taken?
6pm-8pm

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
Mostly Lightroom MCP Enlighten Presets and some manual adjustments in Photoshop.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
Erica really knew how to work it! Plus we got go know each other on a more personal level and I was able to learn that she is a pretty awesome person!

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
My style showcases a clean edit with natural poses so the senior looks like herself, not contorted like some models we see on magazines.  It lets Erica’s personality shine through.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
While many seniors know what they like and want, they really do want the photographer’s opinion and sometimes they just want someone to tell them what to do so it all looks great!
