I just got back from an amazing trip to La Jolla, California where we had an awesome time at The Seniorologie Tour. Β The attendees were amazing, and I was joined by four other speakers, Courtney DeLaura, Meg Borders, Michelle Moore and Sarah Lane to give these attendees all out tips and tricks to help their senior portrait businesses grow.
We had two amazing shoots and the models were beautifully styled by Courtney DeLaura with clothing from Altar’d State. Β The models, who are also models and clients of Sarah Lane’s Studio 12, did a wonderful job and all the attendees were able to capture breathtaking images in the amazing location of La Jolla!
I can’t wait to share the images, behind the scenes and more from this fabulous stop on the Tour! Β Stay tuned to the blog in the next week for all the amazing imagery!
Now, it is time to reveal the next stop on the Tour! Β We are doing a little something different to determine the next location and need YOUR help!! Β We have gotten many requests for all different parts of the country but two places came up over and over. Β So we are going to let the fans decide which location becomes our next stop!
And to make it even more interesting, we are going to give away ONE Free Seat to the next tour to one of the voters! Β So if you would like to join us at the next location, which will take place October 2013, then vote on your favorite location below and you will automatically be entered for a chance to win a FREE SEAT!
The winner of the free seat must be able to travel to either location and travel is not included in the prize. Β Only the registration fee for one single rate (value $1895) is covered in this giveaway. Β Once the winner is determined, you will be contacted via email. Β The winner has 48 hours to respond and claim prize. Β If I do not hear from winner within the 48 hours, the seat will be given to someone else and that first winner will have no claims on the prize.
The winner will be determined by randomly picking an entry. Β The more of the items below that you complete the more chance you have of being picked. Β So complete each task for the best chances of winning!
Voting starts today and ends May 16 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Β We will announce the winner of the FREE SEAT and the location by Monday, May 20.

Senior photography is my passion! I’ve been photographing a wide rance of portraits over the last two years and I have finally found my niche. Where to begin… I’m in a small market outside of a major city, and I need to expand. I’m currently rebranding, getting my marketing together, and working diligently on building a base. My goal is to focus strictly on seniors within the next year! Although word-of-mouth has been great, I want to get to that next level. I have so much to learn! I want to blow away my target audience and really stand out from the crowd! Being in attendance at one of your stops would be amazing, and I believe this would help me tremendously. This has been the craziest year! In addition tending to my photography business, I returned to full-time teaching after being part-time for 3 years to be more available to my family. The ups, downs, ins, and outs were more than enough and I’m taking a complete step of faith this coming year when I’ll be on a leave of absence from the classroom. As I read, write, learn, love and grow healthier for my family and myself, I also hope to once again find that spark that drew me into photography in the first place. I would be thrilled to participate in this tour and really hope to make a road trip to Indy this fall! π
