With the celebration of Memorial Day this past weekend, its officially time to begin SUMMER!!  School is winding down, graduation celebrations are happening all around and warm weather is upon us.  Summer makes the perfect season for fun-filled photo shoots for your senior clients or a senior model.

So since it is the beginning of summer, one of Seniorologie’s favorite seasons (and it also happens to be our birthday season!), we want to begin our Seniorologie Summer Senior Image Contest!!  Just like all the other seasons, you simply upload a senior photo from a session that you have photographed that depicts that season, tag @seniorologie and use the hashtag #seniorologiesummersenior.  We will pick the top four for the month of June and the top four for the month of July and let the fans vote on their favorite.  The winner will grace the home page of Seniorologie.com!

This is your chance to get creative…WHAT DOES SUMMER MEAN TO YOU?  Or better yet…WHAT DOES SUMMER MEAN TO YOUR SENIOR CLIENT?  Ask them!  I am sure they have tons of great ideas on how to incorporate a summer vibe into their photo shoot.  Whether that is through wardrobe (shorts, sundresses, bright colors, hats, sunnies, etc) or location (beach, lake, road trip, fair, etc), incorporating this season of fun and sun is easy!

If you live in an area that isn’t quite summer yet, don’t fret…think outside the box.  Think of what summer means to you and set up a shoot based on that, inside or out!  Grab sum astro turf, lawn chairs and a few pink flamingos and set up your own yard party.  Grab one of your senior models, their favorite straw hat and sunglasses and work those summer essentials into a photo shoot.  Create a summer checklist of photo shoots and create a series of shoots that tell a summer story.  Whatever you do, just remember summer!

The Seniorologie Summer Senior Image Contest begins today, May 27.  To be considered for the month of June, upload your photo or photos to your Instagram by June 30 and remember to tag @seniorologie and hashtag #seniorologiesummersenior.  We will pick the top four for June and announce those on July 1.  To be considered for the month of July, upload your photo or photos to your Instagram by July 31 and remember to tag @seniorologie and hashtag #seniorologiesummersenior.  We will pick the top four for the month of July and announce August 1.  The top four from June and the top four from July will then be entered into a contest where the fans will vote on their favorite.  The photo with the most votes wins a spot as our blog cover photo for two months!
