***This video is having technical difficulties!  I promise to post it as soon as I can get it working again!  Thanks for your patience!  In the meantime, please comment here or on facebook about your fears with raising your pricing or how you overcame your fears to get your pricing right for you!***

Pricing is a HUGE topic and could literally be covered every Tuesday!  And there are many different theories on pricing and many different ways to handle your specific pricing for your photography business.  Today’s Topic Tuesday is all about fears when it comes to pricing.  And one of my good friend’s and fellow photographer Leah Remillet of Go 4 Pro, and online resource for helping photographers thrive in their business, is an expert in pricing!  And believe me when I say, she has heard all the fears and excuses about why not to raise your prices.  But, just like she did with me…she will tell you to get over your fear and charge what you are worth!!

In the video below, I ask Leah some of the common mistakes photographers make with pricing and what is the basic formula we can all use to create a pricing structure that works!!  Check it out and check out Leah’s awesome products on her site for more information on building your business and pricing it accordingly!  Leah also does one-on-one mentoring for photographers across the country!

And as always, after you view the video, join in the conversation by commenting on the blog post here or by commenting on Facebook.  What is your biggest fear when it comes to raising your prices or if you have raised your prices, how did you overcome your fear to do so?

I tried to watch the video and it says it was removed because it was too long……??

  4. Terri says:

    Hi There,
I post many videos to my blog and was so exasperated that size and length held back posting both there and on FB.
    SO I created a Dropbox account (www.dropbox.com)!!!
I upload my video to Dropbox, (an online storage and sharing site that rocks for photogs because so much free space!)
THEN I use the public link it gives me for my video and post that link to the blog and FB. Voila’! When readers click to the video it appears and plays immediately, in it’s entirety without all the sticky size/length restrictions.

Hope this helps:) I’d really love to watch your video.
    Terri

  5. Jeremy says:

You have to go into your youtube settings and apply to have longer videos. It usually accepts automatically.
