Episode #15 – 5 Mistakes You Are Making On Your Senior Photography Website & How To Fix Them

Have you ever heard the saying, “your website is like your storefront so you want to make a good impression?”  As photographers, we don’t necessarily have a traditional storefront or studio so having a visually appealing website with the right information on it to attract our senior clients is key.

On Episode #15 of The Seniorologie Podcast, I interview Elizabeth McCravy who is a web designer out of Nashville, TN.  Elizabeth creates template websites with tons of personality to help creatives showcase their business the right way through their website.  Elizabeth also does custom designs as well as hosts her on podcast, The Breakthrough Brand Podcast.

I have been following Elizabeth for a while and just knew I would love her instantly and I was right.  She is as knowledgeable as she is kind and she is completely willing to help others achieve their goal of a website that actually converts to paying customers.  I bought one of her templates and I am working on revamping my site now.  I am super happy with how easy it is to use, the beautiful graphics available on the template and the layout.  If you are looking to revamp your photography website, check out Elizabeth’s work here.

And whether you are looking to revamp your site or just to know if your current site has what it needs to attract your ideal senior clients, then listen to the episode because Elizabeth is spilling all the deets to help us with our sites!!

The Seniorologie Podcast is a weekly podcast hosted by Leslie Kerrigan, creator of Seniorologie, for high school senior photographers.  Whether you are just starting out or you have been photographing seniors for a while, The Seniorologie Podcast is your resource for all things senior photography related.

Highlights from Episode 15:

  • Website is Very important to any business but especially photographers and especially senior photographers – when you are not putting the effort in your website, you could be missing out on business.  Potential clients need a place to go to see if you are legit, if you are right for them and if you are going to provide what they need.
  • High Schoolers are really up on the times and they know immediately if your website is not up-to-date or attractive – Seniors may not know the technical aspects of a website but they know exactly what they don’t like within a few seconds of clicking on a site.  You want to make sure they stay on your site.
  • Three important things that make a great website – great design, great copy and great imagery!  You need all three to make your site work and grab potential clients attention.
  • Speak to your potential clients through the copy on the website – look at testimonials and inquiries are saying and use that as copy on your site.
  • 5 mistakes you could be making on your website – there are several things you could be doing wrong but if you listen to this episode you will immediately know what these mistakes are and how to fix them.
