The Seniorologie Podcast is BACK!  I am so excited to be back recording podcast episodes and I hope you are as excited as I am for SEASON TWO!!  I took a little break for summer vacation which turned into busy season but I am so happy to be back.  I’ve got some fun episodes planned and can’t wait to share them with you.

The Seniorologie Podcast Episode 16 – The Fear of Putting Ourselves Out on Social Media

Why is it so hard to put ourselves out on social media?  When is the last time you posted a photo of you on your instagram?  Is your profile photo a photo of you?

There are certain fears that go with sharing personal posts on social media whether that be a photo of ourselves or a personal post sharing something about ourselves.  But the only way to connect with our clients and our potential clients is to make it personal!

In today’s episode I am sharing some of the common fears as well as my own fears when it comes to getting personal on social media.  I am also sharing some challenges for things you can do immediately to start sharing yourself on social media and becoming the face of your brand!

• Lots of photographers can take pretty photos but no one is YOU – when you share you as a person, you allow your potential clients to get to know you and connect with you which could be the deciding factor on hiring you for their senior photos as opposed to another photographer.
• Teens want to work with people they connect to – they want to feel something when they visit an instagram page and they want to get to know a person via social media before hiring them for their photos.  This starts with who they see on social!
• It’s ok to be scared!  I am too! – I am scared every single time I share something personal on social but I do it anyway!  I may not connect with everyone but if I connect with even just one person that is more than I would have connected with if I hadn’t posted at all.
• Five fears and how to overcome them! – we all have certain fears when it comes to putting ourselves out on social media but there are ways to overcome them!
• Three things to do right now! – I am giving you three things to immediately do on your instagram today to start putting yourself out on social!!
