How long have you been in business?
Been in business since 2009 but shooting seniors for the last year and a half

What percentage of your business is seniors?
At least 60%

What do you think makes a perfect senior session?
The weather, the light and of course the senior! I hate to sound cliche’ but I really do have the best seniors and we always have
so much fun at our sessions.

What do you love most about photographing seniors?
I love, love watching their personalities shine. They are getting ready to enter the first year of the rest of their life
and being able to capture them being themselves and watching the shy ones break out of the mold is fantastic!

What would you say is the biggest challenge in your business?
In Florida, having your senior portrait done other than the “big box” portrait studio is really uncommon. Being able to
break that mold and having seniors (and thier parents) realize that having a senior session that reflects thier personality
is going to last a lifetime.

Describe your photography style?
Editorial, photo journalistic

What motivates or inspires you in your photography?
My family and the parents of my seniors. My family because they have stood by me through thick and thin the past
5 years allowing me to capture my dreams. The parents of my seniors because their reaction to seeing their ‘little girl’
all grown up makes it all worth it.

Twenty Questions Game…Just for fun!

I am from Kent, OH but moved to the Tampa Bay area (Palm Harbor to be exact) in 1984 and haven’t left yet.

This is a good one. I have an editing album on Spotify that I start at the beginning which consists of Adele,
LoCash Cowboys, Jason Aldean, Vanilla Ice…just to name a few

Favorite Photoshop Action?
Wow…I would probably have to say Hazy Baby 2. An oldie but a goodie for me

A photographer that inspires you?
Just one? To narrow it down to just one would be hard. I take so much in from so many photographers that inspire me.
To name a few…Jose Rosado; love, love his editorial work. Rachel Vanoven; while I don’t shoot newborns,
I absolutley love her spunk and personality. Scott Kretschmann; his wedding work makes me swoon!

Real Cuban sandwiches

I’m such a Ross, TJMaxx, Bealls type of girl

Andes Candies. I could eat a whole box by myself (and probably have lol)

Favorite memory from when you were a senior?
Graduating? haha really…it was *ahem* a very long time ago and I well, I really wasn’t a model student so graduating probably was the best memory

Favorite Quote or Saying?
If you ask my kids, it’s “whatever”. I say that way too often and it’s my answer to everything and anything they ask me lol

Favorite Workshop or photography event you have attended?
I attended the PASS tour last year put on by Showit and even though it was more wedding geared (Zack & Jody Gray
being the main speakers) I took so much away from that tour that I could in turn use with my portrait clients,
just with a little twist.

Favorite Magazine?
I’m not much of a magazine reader since I’m more of a book reader but when I do it’s more of the gossip line that gets me. US Weekly is the perfect grocery store line entertainment.

Favorite Vacation Spot?
Anywhere in the mountains but Bora Bora is on my bucket list.

Favorite Movie?
Sweet Home Alabama. “You have a baby…in a bar!” That line gets me every time! haha
