Using Pinterest as a way to visualize what your senior wants for her session is a huge help when it comes to planning that session.  After seeing this senior’s pins, Alyssa Chappell of Alyssa Chappell Photography discussed it with her senior and they both agreed that a vintage glam spin would be the perfect way to showcase her unique style.

Check out this session below and read what Alyssa had to share regarding this session.  Thanks for sharing your work with Seniorologie Alyssa!!

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
We used a lot of Vintage Hollywood Glam for our inspiration for this session. Sarah was able to show a soft side of her personality, and was able to surprise us a little edginess thrown in there also.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
We decided to embrace the beautiful campus of the University of Florida and take advantage of it on a quiet Sunday afternoon. We had so very many different options that were all located within 10 minutes of each other.

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
Sarah and I did collaborate with each other to come up with her wardrobe choices. To add to Sarah’s experience she choose my Ultra Glam Package which included hair and makeup by Ashleigh Allen.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
For this session, I used my new Canon 5D Mark III.  My favorite go to lens lately has been my Sigma 85 1.4.  We also  did use a reflector to help bounce the amazing light.

What time of day were these taken?
3:30-6

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
As far as procession goes I try to keep my edits fairly clean and natural. I want to emphasize each girl and their True Beauty inside and out!

What is your favorite thing about this session?
I loved that we got caught in the rain and Sarah didn’t skip a beat! In fact, some of my favorite images are in the rain!

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I want this session and every session I shoot to be about the girl I am capturing. I want her personality to SHINE! I want her to feel Glamorous and Amazing! I want the session to be an experience that each girl and her family treasures for a lifetime!

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Get to know the girls and have fun! If the girls are comfortable with you, the session goes so much easier!
