Sometimes a senior’s spirit and personality just jump off a photograph and in this session below that is exactly what I see…A super happy, fun girl who exudes joy!

Jennefer Wilson of Jennefer Wilson Photography did a great job capturing this senior’s beauty both inside and out.  Just looking at these photos make me totally want to hang out with both the senior and the photographer!  It just looks like fun!!

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?
Lacie wanted her session to feel editorial, edgy and fun. She pulled inspiration from Anthropologie, Vogue and gossip girl.

Where did this photo shoot take place?
Deep Ellum, Dallas TX

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?
Yes! Lacie is a dreamer so we had to reign in on her ideas, and once we landed on this concept, we knew exactly what we wanted.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?
5dmkii and 50mm1.2!

What time of day were these taken?
Sunset-dusk

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?
I used a mixture of VSCO editing actions that have all been tweaked to personal preferences.

What is your favorite thing about this session?
Lacies joy is my favorite thing in this session. She glows and naturally exudes happiness. This session is a perfect representation of how truly beautiful Lacie is, which is the best part of senior sessions.

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?
I hope this session conveys how carefree and joyful this time in a senior girls life can be. I hope it can inspire other senior girls to push the limit, and take a step to feel comfortable about who they are and be proud of who God made them to be. My biggest goal with any senior session is to make sure my girls know how truly gorgeous they are. Not every girl is blessed with parents and friends who remind them how priceless they are. I love having the opportunity to be that light in their world, if only for a few hours. 🙂

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?
Be genuine, loving and honest. Speaking words of truth over them instead of at them can be a game changer, i.e. “you are beautiful!” instead of “you look beautiful”. It is amazing how one word can change the response and effect your seniors so quickly.
