There is nothing like Flowers to say Spring and this senior session screams spring to me!  I love the lighting, the flowers and the wardrobe!

Leigh Fabozzi of Leigh Elizabeth Photography says that her senior had a vision for what she wanted and suggest we use the floral crown in her shoot!

“I was so giddy at the idea of using the floral crown and I contacted my favorite florist, Lynette of Madison House Designs, to create the beautiful crown,” said Leigh.

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?  Absolutely the floral crown!  The crown determined the location of our shoot, the time of day and the outfits.

Where did this photo shoot take place?  A field and Caroline’s favorite dock

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?  Yes!  I love when seniors come to me with a vision for what they are wanting.  Caroline suggested we use the floral crown in her shoot and I was so giddy with the idea!  I contacted my favorite florist, Lynette of Madison House Designs, and she created the beautiful crown.  Caroline and I also talked through locations, outfits and the general feel she wanted for her session.

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?  Canon 5d mark ii, 50 mm 1.4

What time of day were these taken?  during the last two hours of sunlight – my favorite time to shoot!

Can you share any post-processing techniques used when editing this session?  I do 99% of my editing in lightroom and I try to keep it very minimal.  My style is simple, clean and bright!

What is your favorite thing about this session?  Caroline was so fun to work with!

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?  I love how natural Caroline looks in these images and also felt during this session.  I think the floral crown added the perfect touch that made her feel, in a sense, more herself- her feminine, beautiful self.  My goal in senior photography is for girls to feel and know they are so, so beautiful.  Inside and out!  It is such a blessing for me to have that opportunity in a senior girl’s life.

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?  During your shoot, take time to stop and show your seniors how gorgeous their images are looking.  It gets them excited about their images and feeling more confident!
