I find color to be so inspiring and energizing. Have you ever been so moved just by the colors of a sunset? What about an abstract painting that has no distinct form, yet it draws you in simply by the blending of color? I don’t think it’s a coincidence that colors play a large role in art expression. Colors have the capacity to change the feeling of a room with a simple bucket of paint, or to reflect your current mood by the type of clothing you wear!

When looking for something new and fresh for fashion inspiration, the PANTONE color of the year is a great place to start! If you are feeling stuck in what to do for your senior model group shoots or looking to spice up everyday sessions with something on trend while not going over-board, the PANTONE color will not let you down!

Just recently, I considered incorporating the color of the year for shoot inspiration. And by doing this, it’s an easy way to guarantee you will always be on trend with what is relevant in the fashion + beauty realm!

To give you an idea, for my 2015 senior model group shoot in May, we plan to do a Radiant Orchid ombré theme that will run throughout the clothing, hair + makeup.  It will be a little edgy, yet nothing over-the-top, but I love the idea of having all the elements of a shoot come together with one simple color scheme. PLUS, I feel like this color in particular really works with every season of the year! I think those PANTONE people are on to something! 😉

If you are feeling really adventurous, you could even pair Radiant Orchid with past PANTONE colors! Emerald, Mimosa, Turquoise, Honeysuckle…or if you’re looking for something softer, try muted versions of the colors! Mint, pale yellow, light blue, baby pink… now it sounds like we are ready for Easter!
