Tell me a little about this senior and this photo shoot…

Caitlyn is a senior at Plano East High School, she spends most of her time acting in her theater class and plays. She is smart, tall (6 feet), beautiful, unassuming and graceful. Caitlyn has a clear vision about her style and wears it well, including her hair.  

Where did this shoot take place?

After talking with her I knew the textures of downtown Dallas was the place to go for her session. The lights, brick, concrete and buildings of Dallas were perfect backdrops for her. 

What about the winning image stood out to you and made you submit it to Seniorologie?

I fell in love with most of Caitlyn’s images, but I’m always saying that there’s usually one image that allows you to see slightly into the future and this one is it. I can see her face looking like this during many happy times in her life. I love it when you can see ‘in’ to the image. It represents her well, who she is now and who she will be as well. 

What do you love most about Senior photography?

It’s the freshness, newness in their faces, where they’re going and the excitement that brings with it. We are seeing this person budding into who they will be ultimately, we get to see the dream, the beginning of everything……it’s all right there in their faces. I love that! It’s even better if you capture that in the session so that in the years to come they will see it too.
