Sometimes photographers style the shoot, sometimes a stylist helps but sometimes the senior herself has such great style and vision for her shoot that she knows exactly what she wants and styles it herself!  And that is exactly what happened with this senior session submitted by Brittney Zambrowicz of Smitten Imagery in The Woodlands, Texas.

What was your inspiration for this photo shoot?  Bailey, my senior client, inspired every image from this shoot. This sweet little lady had a beautiful, specific vision for her portraits and did an incredible job styling her wardrobe around it. Bailey also provided a Texas and American flag to use as props during her shoot. 

Where did this photo shoot take place?  This session was photographed at a quiet pocket beach with beautiful light in Galveston, Texas. 

Did you collaborate with this senior to come up with the clothing and/or concept for this shoot?  Yes! I encouraged my senior to customize her session and she did a lovely job styling her wardrobe and props around her “patriotic sweetheart” theme. 

What camera, lens or other equipment was used for this shoot?  Canon 5D Mark II with 50mm 1.2 lens, Mamiya 645 with 80mm 1.9 lens

What time of day were these taken?  Several hours before sunset

What is your favorite thing about this session?  Bailey’s character radiates from these images; I feel it is so important to capture a graduate’s youthfulness and personality in their portraits. 

What do you want this session to convey about this senior and about your senior photography style?  From looking at these images, I hope viewers are charmed by Bailey’s sweet joy and bubbly personality. Also, I hope this shoot fully conveys my love for capturing radiant light and character in images. 

What is one tip you can share with other photographers regarding photographing seniors?  To ensure a fun, unique session, encourage your senior clients to get involved in planning their shoot.
